1984 Corvette Project

The 84 Corvette project has been sitting for quite a while and it is time to wake this car up and get it done. The majority of my time lately has been geared around my real estate business and with the shift in the housing market I simply needed to focus on work. Our real estate

1984 Corvette is now at my garage

My Corvette spent an extented period of time away from me having major reconstructive surgery and it was delivered back to me this morning. The car arrived hundreds of pounds lighter than when it left and it has the newer style updated front and rear bumpers along with a new cowl hood.

Tonight was the Mount Vernon's First Friday Cruise In on the public square and on Main Street. The car turnout was outstanding with roughly 70 cars and more than a dozen ultra high end customs. The mix of cars was great ranging from Corvettes, street rods, muscle cars, pro

C4 Corvette Hood and Bumpers

Toledo Pro Fiberglass custom made me an ultra light cowl hood for my 84 Corvette project. The factory hood was so heavy it took two people to pick it up and my new hood is light enough that I can it carry all by myself. I would estimate the new hood weighs about half what

1984 Corvette Project Update

My 1984 Corvette project is getting much closer to completion. There is still a lot of little detail work that needs completed before I can drive the car but Spring is getting closer every day and I am getting excited. My goal is to be able to drive the car in April so I need

Twin Fuel Systems in my 1984 Corvette

Something unique with my 1984 Corvette is that we removed the entire factory fuel system and created something a little different than you would traditionally see in a street or a race car. What we did is build and install two entirely independent fuel systems both using

Aerospace Brakes on 1984

The 84 Vette project needs to be light, it needs to have big horsepower and it needs to be able to stop instantly. This may sound pretty obvious but I have no interest in going 150 mph and not be able to stop safely and that is where good brakes come in. Building a 1984

Vette Coming Apart

In order to go fast you either need to be ultra light or make a ton of horsepower...I wanted to have both so the car would be even faster. The following are some photos of when the car was coming apart. and the work that went into getting it prepped to be pieced back together. The

I Bought A 1984 Corvette

I bought this 1984 Corvette with the idea that I would build a street sleeper out of it. I originally envisioned that I would put a healthy small block into it, add some headers and a nitrous system and have an affordable hot rod that I could take to dinner every now and then.
